Workplace Mentor - IEA Program - Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah and Kingscliff
Far North Coast, NSW

Full Time | 9-day fortnight option | Salary packaging | Huge range of staff benefits

Location: Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah and Kingscliff

Join Our Team as a Workplace Mentor!

Are you someone who loves seeing people succeed in their new jobs—and knows how to help them stay there? We’re looking for a supportive, organised, and people-focused Workplace Mentor to join our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) team, working directly with people who have disability, injury, or health conditions to help them thrive in sustainable employment.

Why Join Us?

At ETC, we celebrate diversity and inclusion, and we believe everyone has something unique to bring to our teams. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we want YOU to join us — no matter your background or experience. We actively encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, neurodiverse individuals, people with disability, including those with hidden disabilities, LGBTIQA+ communities, culturally and linguistically diverse people, and anyone who may not have felt included in traditional workplaces. A diverse workforce makes us stronger and better at what we do.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Workplace Mentor, you’ll be the go-to support for participants once they’ve landed a job - helping them settle in, stay motivated, and grow in their roles. You’ll also work closely with employers and community partners to build strong, supportive workplaces. Along the way, you’ll play a key role in keeping our records sharp, our claims accurate, and our outcomes strong. This role will cover Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah and Kingscliff locations. Travel among these locations is required each week.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Checking in regularly with participants, employers, and community organisations
  • Spotting and solving any issues that could affect job sustainability
  • Reviewing and submitting evidence for outcome claims
  • Helping participants increase their hours and reach their goals
  • Keeping accurate records and communication logs
  • Promoting ETC’s services to local employers and jobseekers
  • Reporting outcomes to management
  • Participating in weekly learning and development workshops
  • Supporting safe, inclusive, and sustainable job placements
  • You’ll play a key role in helping us meet our targets—so tracking progress and hitting KPIs will be part of your day-to-day.

What you will bring:

  • Experience managing a caseload and supporting jobseekers post-placement
  • A solid understanding of employment contracts and outcome claims
  • Great attention to detail and strong admin skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Confidence working independently and meeting performance targets
  • Knowledge of the local labour market and community networks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT systems
  • A commitment to helping people with disability, injury, or health conditions succeed at work
  • Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel

 Bonus if you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or employment services
  • Creative problem-solving and strong networking skills
  • Cultural competence and experience working with diverse communities

Don't tick every box?

Don’t worry. At ETC, we’re not looking for perfection — we’re looking for passion. We believe in learning on the job and growing together. If you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we’ll help you build the rest. Your transferable skills are valuable at ETC!
